- This is not a problem with the modems, it is a bug in ARA. I know that an
- '040 AV mac can rarely maintain an ARA connection for more than 45
- minutes, and powerPCs have the same serial port architechture and perhaps
- the same incompatibility. I found it helps to specify a maximum connect
- time in ARA, like 9999 minutes, instead of using the checkbox to say there
- isn't a max - it doesn't work on some machines.

- For large files, you would be much better off using ZTerm anyways, though,
- and just Zmodem transferring the files. ARA is dog slow.
